Structured: The Good and The Bad
The Good
One-of-a-kind day planner:
As someone who loves to be organized and is always looking for new ways to simplify my life, I’ve downloaded and tested out my fair share of daily planner apps. But structured is truly one-of-a-kind daily planner app. Not only does it have all the essential features like recurring tasks, iCloud sync, timeline, calendar and reminder sync, sub-tasks, notifications, and notes in one place – but it’s also super user-friendly and visually appealing. Plus, it’s helped me to finally conquer my never-ending to-do list! If you’re looking for a daily planner app that will help you get your life in order, structured is definitely worth checking out. Oh! Did I say it’s beautiful? I cannot stress that enough.
Widgets:
The structured app offers home screen widgets that allow you to see your tasks at a glance, so you can always stay on top of what needs to be done.
Simple, Minimalistic, and just the right amount of features:
This might be somewhat controversial but, I love this app for its limited features. Let me explain, being a freelancer, I have had to use my fair share of daily planners. Some try to be way too much and end up being bloated and confusing, while others forego features altogether in order to remain simplistic. Structured App sits in a sweet spot where it offers enough features to be useful, without being overwhelming. Plus, its design is clean and sleek, making it a joy to use on a daily basis.
Cross Platform:
When it comes to staying organized, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. That’s why Structured was designed to be a multiplatform app, working across iOS, WatchOS, iPadOS, and Mac. And because it uses iCloud to sync your data, you can pick up where you left off no matter what device you’re using. Whether you’re making a grocery list on your iPhone, checking off tasks on your iPad or planning your week on your Mac, Structured has you covered.
The Bad
Limited Widgets:
As much as I admire the minimalism of Structured, I would have loved to see the widget showing my inbox. It was one of the things that drew me to the app in the first place. I like that it has an inbox feature that helps me write down tasks that are yet to be scheduled, but I also like being able to see those tasks at a glance on my home screen. Without the widget, I have to open the app to check my inbox, which feels like a waste of time.
Missing Drag and Drop functionality for rescheduling tasks:
One of the issues I have with Structured is that it doesn’t have drag and drop functionality to reschedule tasks. I understand that the app is designed to be as simple as possible, but I think that a little bit of extra functionality would make it much more user-friendly. For example, if I need to reschedule a task for later in the day, I should be able to drag and drop it to the new time slot. This would save me a lot of time and effort, and it would make the app much more flexible.
The Pricing
The best part is that part of the app is always free, so you can try it out before you decide whether or not you want to upgrade to the premium version. The premium version is only $4.99 for lifetime access, which is a great price for all the features it offers.
Final Thoughts
Structured is a great app for anyone looking for a minimalistic and user-friendly way to organize their life. The app offers all the features you need to get your tasks done, and it’s available on multiple platforms, so you can stay organized no matter what device you’re using. Plus, the price is unbeatable! If you’re looking for a daily planner app, I would highly recommend giving Structured a try.
